1 Corinthians 7:10-16 (New King James Version)
Keep Your Marriage Vows
10 Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. 11 But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
12 But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her. 13 And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 15 But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in suchcases. But God has called us to peace. 16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?
I don't want this post to take away from the charges listed in the scriptures above. I simply want to tell you that today, I personally witnessed the mighty hand of the Lord Jesus Christ move through a broken marriage that was most certainly on the way to the dark guillotine of divorce. The last few weeks in the lives of this family have been lives ridden with torment by the Enemy. But today, the Enemy's head was crushed! His manipulative plans to destroy a wife, a husband and two children were FOILED by the Lord God almighty! Since the attack on this family began a few weeks ago, there have been hundreds of prayers lifted to the Lord in intercession. We have been believing and standing on the truths that our God is sovereign, He is faithful and just to forgive and He is our Advocate! He is "El Roi", "The God Who Sees Me". There are no circumstances that escape His supreme awareness of our lives and all that is happening in them. Praise God for the power of conviction and for the healing salve that He is applying to this couple and their family. Thank you Lord....You receive all the glory!
17 The LORD your God in your midst, Zephaniah 3:17 (New King James Version)
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
