Summer (Ruth and Boaz)
I know that I have posted these memory verses earlier this year. But tonight the phone rang while I was cleaning the dinner dishes. It was a call that I wasn't expecting, but that I was overjoyed to receive. My sweet Father in Law, who has been so very sick and in the hospital at Duke Univeristy for a while is FINALLY at home! It was so great to hear his voice knowing that he is at home and not in a hospital bed for the first time in over a month. I had been trying to decide what verses to post today. After taking the call from Daddy B, it was quite clear what I needed to post about. The verses tried to make their way into my thoughts but I was missing some pieces. So today, I'm revisiting some verses that I hold very dear.
16 But Ruth said:
“ Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
And there will I be buried.
The LORD do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.” (Ruth 1:16-17, New King James Version)
What are some special verses for you that the Lord has brought to the forefront for you?
