I had to share a little something funny with you today. The original situation itself was not funny AT ALL. But, I think that my little attempt to "lighten" the situation was actually the funny part. You see, my "cousin-in-law", Ashley, is getting married in October (Yay Ashley and Dave!). There seemed to be a "mishap" of sorts that every Bride-To-Be comes in contact with during the whole planning phase (insert your situation here). It could be anything from food to what color you want, "Blush" or "Bashful" (as all of you "Steel Magnolias" junkies like me can attest, those are two "very" different shades of "pank")...but, back to Ashley. I won't mention the specific "potential mishap", to protect the anonymity of those involved. But, suffice it to say, I had to send Ashley a little something to make her smile on what began as a stressful day, but fortunately turned out to be okay (everything is fine, problem solved--woo hoo!). So, I sent her this little video below on Facebook, but then got to thinking that there were a whole lot of other people that I thought may get a laugh. Although, this video has been ALL over the news, so forgive me if you've already seen it. I had to ask Ashley when the rehearsals were going to start for her "grand entrance"...I thought maybe we could all "one up" them in October. But, as I also told her, I would rather not have all of us end up in the ER instead of at the reception!
**Author's disclaimer...certain contents of this video may not reflect my personal convictions and beliefs. I will leave it at that and leave you with the book of Titus, Chapter 2.
Needless to say, the wedding party certainly appeared to have a great time and I'm sure she would never admit it, but "Miss Manners" herself would have to laugh at this....although for her column's sake, I'm sure that she would remind her "gentle readers" of other, more reserved ideas for a grand entrance! I personally thought the entrance was hilarious! Talk about an ice breaker!
