He Is STILL In Haiti and He is STILL in Control

The pictures this week have been agonizing, disturbing...incredibly chilling.  I can't write very much about the devastation because it overwhelms me too much to even think about the death and destruction of such epic proportions that has occurred this week.

But I know this, my friend--

MY GOD is still in control.  He has not changed.  This has not caught Him by surprise. He is not shocked.  

But He IS sovereign.  

He IS omnicient.  

He IS omnipresent.  

He IS the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  He IS Adonai, the Lord my great Lord.  He IS Elohim, the all powerful One Creator.  He IS El Roi, the God who sees (them).  He IS El Shaddai, the all sufficient one, the God of the mountains, God Almighty.  He IS Immanuel, God with us (THEM).  He IS Jehovah, (YHWH), I AM. He IS Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals.  He IS Jehovah Rohi, the Lord is my (their) Shepherd.  He IS Jehova Tsidkenu, the Lord our righteousness. 

My heart aches for the people of Haiti.  I know that my God has a plan.  I don't know what that plan is but I know that He has it (and them) in the palm of His hand.  I pray that unbelievers would come to know Jesus as a result of this horrific tragedy.
