Well Honey Hush! I almost fell out yesterday when I read the news! Not only has Aunt Ruthie over at Sugar Pie Farmhouse written a new book, "Watermelon and Fireflies", but Sugar, she chose some of her Sugar Pie Sistas summertime stories to include in her book....and guess what? She chose mine as one of them! I was extremely humbled and honored--she is so precious! I have been reading her new book tonight and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it~ Not only does Aunt Ruthie love and serve the Lord her God with all her might, but she has the amazing talent of being able to make you smell the peach pie....all the way from her farm in the Ozarks!
I encourage youto check out her new eBook. You can get your sampling of the down home goodness below and hopefully, you'll head on over to her farmhouse and get a copy for yourself!
Make sure and tell her I sent you! Grab a cup of coffee and be sure to check out all of the rooms in the farmhouse....Aunt Ruthie's place is warm and cozy...you'll definitely want to "sit a spell"!
We had a ton of great feedback around the Facebook Like button for your blog's sidebar on the Everything TypePad blog post and in tickets. Thank you to everyone who contributed. One of the things we heard loud and clear from many, including David Hooper of Music Marketing and Miguel of Cote Boulevard, was that you wanted to add the "Like" button to each post rather than the full blog. So here it is!
The House of Representatives at this very minute is debating the Stupak-Pitts amendment, which is the only amendment that is being offered to explicitly exclude funding for abortion in the Democrat's health care bill. This is going to be a close vote. Call your Representative. Tell them to vote Y on the Stupak-Pitts Amendment.Remember to tell them the Pitts-Stupak Amendment is the only amendment that provides clear language that prohibits federal funding of elective abortions and plans that cover elective abortion.Call your Representatives now.Thank youNote: The House Switchboard number is (202) 224-3121
Well, faithful readers....I'm getting there, slowly but surely. Once I get my Typepad chops, I'll be up and running in no time! Stay with me....I think I'll meet my weekend decorating deadline. I hope to have all of the asthetics of the blog back where they need to be. Some will even have a new look.
For whatever reason, by blog seems to be having some technical difficulties. I'm not sure what they are or to what extent, but hopefully I will have this resolved by tomorrow....please stay tuned!!!
I know that it's been quite around here lately. I have been super swamped at work the last few weeks, but will be catching up on the blog over the next few days, so STAY TUNED!!! In the meantime, here are a few vacation photos for your viewing pleasure. Rob and I just went down to a condo at Fort Morgan for a few days and got back today (bummer!). At any rate...I'm back, refreshed, and ready to get caught up on some blogging! See you very soon!
Well folks, they're gone now until next year (sigh!). I just love valentines Day, but I held onto my "Conversation Heart" theme as long as I could. So, it's back to my regular theme. Thanks to everyone who voted to keep the hearts around a little while longer!
I am in Huntsville, AL right now with my Mom and we're visiting my brother and his family. I have taken the last few days off from serious blogging, but will be back up and running when we get home (we'll be in Monday night). I intended to bring more of my nephew's (Matthew, Moorhead City, NC)poetry with me so that I could work on more posts for "Matthew's Corner", but walked out and left them at home. So, I'll make sure to have the next one posted on Tuesday for sure. I'll also be back to "Memory Monday"...I missed it this week, but there was just SO much going on.
For those of you who have been faithful to check on and pray for Rob's Dad during his recent hospitalization, I would like you to know that we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts....he is at home now! The Lord was so faithful to us and had given him enough relief that he could get out of the hospital and come home...we are SO thankful! Well, I am about to turn in. I am so excited that I get to be able to hear my brother preach in the morning. Since we live five hours apart, I don't get to be in his church as much as I would like to. So, when we are here, it's SO great to hear his messages. I know that God will have a very special word for us tomorrow that He has prepared Paul with to deliver to us.
Blessings to everyone...have a wonderful weekend.
I'm not really sick...just spending some time with my family in Huntsville. I will be posting some pictures in the next day or so. Have a great weekend!
